Six Lane highway from Mandi Dabwali – Chautala Section of NH-54

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) was established through a Parliamentary Act called the NHAI Act, 1988. “An Act to Provide for the Constitution of an Authority for the Development, Maintenance, and Management of National Highways and for Matter Connected Therewith or Incidental Thereto” is what the NHAI Act is described as. They have given it the National Highways Creation Project, which includes several smaller projects and gives it control over the development, upkeep, and management of 50,329 km of National Highways. They want to make sure that all contract awards and procurement follow the best practices in the sector for process transparency.

NHAI goals include implementing bid criteria to ensure healthy competition in contract awarding, project implementation that complies with the highest quality standards, and highway system upkeep that provides the best user comfort and convenience.

The Mandi Dabwali—Chautala road stretch, which runs from the proposed Mandi Dabwali Bypass to Chautala of NH-54, will be six lanes wide as part of the project. This is part of the Hybrid Annuity Model Highway under the Bharatmala Pariyojna, which will be finished by 2023 and was designed in the state of Haryana. The highway needs to be traveled 34.80 km in total. This project is a Public-Private Partnership between the NHAI and VRC Constructions (India) Private Limited.
