The primary objective is to widen the existing roadway to a 2-lane with paved shoulders (PS) configuration and, in certain segments, expand it to a 4-lane with paved shoulders configuration. The design speed for the newly upgraded highway is set at 100 km/h for the 4-lane sections and 80 km/h for the 2-lane sections, ensuring safe and efficient travel.
